Clan Lin
Lin Feng gazed at the young man with a sharp stare. With every step closer, his heart pounded faster. He couldn't believe what he had just heard. "The Lin Clan? The same surname as mine?" he thought to himself. It was impossible. How could there be someone with a similar name and face to his?
Cautiously, Lin Feng searched for a weapon. His eyes caught a sharp and sturdy stick. He gripped it tightly and slowly approached the young man sitting on a large rock, seemingly unaware of his presence.
"What a beautiful day, I'm grateful to be born into the Lin Clan," the young man said with a satisfied smile, oblivious to the danger approaching him.
Lin Feng's heart pounded rapidly. The young man's words shocked him. "The Lin Clan? The Lin surname? Does that mean he's... like me?" he thought, his mind growing more chaotic.
Without hesitation, Lin Feng approached cautiously. As he drew closer, he quickly covered the young man's mouth with his hand, preventing him from screaming.
"Mhmph!" The young man was startled, his eyes widening instantly. He tried to struggle free, but Lin Feng restrained him with incredible strength.
Lin Feng glared at him, his voice cold and menacing. "Answer my questions, or I'll kill you right now," he said, his tone firm and unyielding.
Quickly, Lin Feng tied the young man to a nearby tree. The young man began to panic, fearful, and confused by the situation.
"Who are you? Why does your face look so similar to mine?" the young man asked in a stuttering voice.
Lin Feng didn't respond. Instead, he pulled out a small knife from his belt and stabbed it into the young man's thigh.
"Ah!" The young man screamed in pain, his face pale and his eyes filled with terror.
Lin Feng remained calm, his eyes filled with hatred. "Who told you to ask me these questions?" he asked in a cold voice.
"I-I want you to answer my questions, that's all," the young man stammered, still in pain from the stab wound.
Lin Feng's expression didn't change. "What's your name?" he asked, his voice firm.
The young man trembled, still in pain, and replied in a weak voice. "M-my name is Lin Feng."
Upon hearing this, Lin Feng was shocked. The same name, the same face. Everything felt so strange and unbelievable.
"H-his name is Lin Feng? That means our names are the same, as well as our faces... Are we related?" he thought, growing more confused.
"Do you have a map to the Lin Clan?" Lin Feng asked with curiosity. He wanted to know more about this clan, whether there was a connection between him and them.
The young man looked at him anxiously but eventually nodded. "I-I have it. The map is in my pocket."
Lin Feng quickly retrieved the map from the young man's pocket. After examining it carefully, he looked at the young man again.
"Now, can you tell me more about the Lin Clan?" Lin Feng asked, his curiosity piqued.
The young man looked down, took a deep breath, and began to explain. "In the Lin Clan, the clan leader has five children."
Lin Feng listened intently, intrigued. "The first child is Lin Yi, a beautiful and intelligent girl," the young man continued.
"The second child is Lin Wei, a son skilled in strategy. The third child is Lin Shi, a girl skilled in swordsmanship. The fourth child is Lin Mei, a ruthless and deadly girl. And the fifth child, the youngest, is me, Lin Feng, an ordinary young man who doesn't stand out."
Lin Feng then asked again, his voice calmer but still filled with curiosity. "What's your father's name, or the clan leader's?"
The young man swallowed hard, clearly fearful. "My father's name is Lin Zheng. He's a very powerful and famous man, also feared by many."
Lin Feng furrowed his brow, trying to process this information. "And your mother? What's her name?" Lin Feng asked again, wanting to know more about this family.
The young man paused, seemingly remembering. "M-my mother's name is Ruo Li. However, I don't remember much about her. She passed away when I was still young, so I don't recall her face."
"I-I've told you everything, please don't kill me," the young man pleaded, fearful for his life.
Lin Feng remained calm, his eyes still filled with a mixture of emotions. There were so many unanswered questions, but one thing was certain—this mystery was deeper and more intriguing than he had initially thought.
What do you think?
